Minimalistic Boutique Hotel With Glass Walls And Gorgeous Views
The Stray Bird is a charming boutique hotel situated in Ningxia, China designed and congenital by STUDIO QI. Information technology enjoys a privileged location, but 10 meters away from the Yellow River and framed by the Tengger Desert, enjoying wonderful views and being beautifully immersed into the mural. The spaces are organized into three separate programatic zones. One is a sitting area, the second is a more practical, standing surface area and the tertiary is a sleeping zone. They're all prefabricated modules with steel frames, a structural selection based on all the limitations related to the remote location, transportation constraints just also sustainability.
The sitting and sleeping areas are situated on opposite sides where they can take maximum advantage of the panoramic views unfolding around them. The modules have glass walls on three sides with perforated panels on the dorsum walls that ensure a decent level of privacy without completely closing off the spaces. The overall arrangement of all the spaces ensures efficient internal circulation. Furthermore, everything within the spaces is arranged in such a fashion to maximize the visual connection with the exterior, blurring the boundaries between compages and nature.
